hi everyone i installed openstack newton and i created 2 networks (provider and selfservice network ) . then i created a router but the problem is i still cant ping my router interface from my controller node and compute node . i need internet in my VM to test my script

I can ping the router but router can't ping my pc From my PC. i can ping my router and the switch From my router, i can ping the switch but I can't ping my PC (10.0.0.99) So, i used a cross cable to connect my PC to the router FE int directly. I am unable to access the GUI login page for my router from my Windows 10 machine. The following information is provided for clarification: 1. I can ping the router from my Windows 10 machine. 2. I can access the router from 4 other computers (2 Mac, 1 Windows 7, and 1 tablet) 3. I have NO internet connectivity problems. 4. networking - can't ping to a friend's computer - Ask Ubuntu Yes, a router along the way has a firewall that's blocking it. It's not weird at all man =), ISPs (or networks along the way) can block it. You can't make a detour around that router because you'll need access to the routing table of one of the routers along the way before you hit the firewall and edit them to go somewhere else.
